A California native, Russ Tavlan is the founder of Moonlight Packing Corporation and its subsequent group of Moonlight companies. Under his leadership, his vertically integrated farming company has grown from obscurity on 1993, to being widely regarded as one of the industry’s largest and best today.
With the help of over 2,000 hardworking associates year-round, allowing for worldwide distribution of its products grown, packaged and marketed from its various holdings, Russ oversees every aspect of the day-to-day business. The effective appropriation of capital, company direction and culture, along with leading the design and development of all long-term investments are some of his primary focuses.
Russ is currently seated on the Board of Directors for both of his Family’s philanthropic holdings, The Hollywood Museum, a 501(c)(3) located in the center of Hollywood, California, and the Jose’ Iturbi Foundation, supporting the musical arts in Beverly Hills, California. In addition, Russ is on the Board of Trustees for Guest Services, Inc., a nationwide hospitality management company in Washington DC; on the Board of Directors for Sun Pacific, an international agriculture and juice conglomerate in Pasadena, California; and is a venture capital partner in Accordios, a tech start-up company focused on consumer engagement, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
