Dr. Gogue has been the President of Auburn University since 2007. During his tenure at Auburn, he has been instrumental in raising the University’s academic performance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at a time of reduced University budgets. Prior to leading at Auburn, Dr. Gogue served as president of New Mexico State University; president of the University of Houston and chancellor of the University of Houston System; vice president at Clemson University; and provost at Utah State University. He has also conducted research for the National Park Service. Dr. Gogue is a two-time Auburn graduate, receiving a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from that University. He earned a doctorate from Michigan State University.
